Local Actions
If you cannot make it to Washington,
there are a number of other ways to help. You can of course Donate,
you should definitely get your phones ready for the Phone
Slam, and you can organize a local action. You don't need a lot of
people to have an impact. Cheryl and Jim often picketed by themselves.
Visit your congressperson's office to thank them for supporting medical
marijuana by cosponsoring HR 2233, or to ask them to do so if they
haven't. You can find other ideas for local actions on the Americans
for Safe Access website. |

* Monday, September 22 - Candlelight Vigil at the State Capitol Come to the Capitol for a candle light vigil in memory of medical marijuana patients Bryan Epis, Cheryl Miller and all others who can't be with us. Bring pictures, music, flowers, candles, etc. Time: 7:00 PM
* Tuesday, September 23 - Medical Marijuana Rally at the State Capitol Join medical marijuana patients at the Capitol for live music & speeches! It's been one year since the sentencing of Bryan Epis, a Chico patient and care provider. We've been collecting petitions to free Bryan and other medical marijuana political prisoners, now we'll present the petitions to Gov. Davis and demand that he defend California's sick and dying patients! Time: 4:00-6:00 PM.

patients in in front of the San Antonio City Hall. Coincidentally,
Cheryl and Jim resided in San Antonio for part of 1985.
